Things I've learned while in Tucson . . .

1) It really does get hot out here in June. That's the thermometer in my rental car from yesterday.
2) When it's 108 degrees (no, really), don't wear a french-blue dress shirt. Oops.

3) That whole "but it's a dry heat" argument only works up to about 105 degrees. Above that and it's just darned hot.

4) That whole "it's a dry heat" thing DOES have an impact on your skin. I feel like I'm dehydrated all the time. Neutrogena moisturizer (from my hotel room last night) really helps.

If you find yourself in Tucson anytime soon and find yourself with a 2 hour gap between appointments, find the nearest Paradise Bakery and Cafe. Order a "Paradise Cookie Frappe". (caution - in the spectrum of liquid calories, this drink falls just north of a Venti Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha). Pop open the laptop and take advantage of the free wi-fi to check email and get directions to tonights hotel. Blog. Order lunch.

More later. I've got to go order that lunch.

Question?

I really liked your blog. Please read below and check out www.furtherthekingdom.com

Would you consider yourself to be a good person? The dictionary says "good" is to be "morally excellent." Let's check the standard--the Ten Commandments, to see how far we fall short: Is God first in your life? Do you love Him with "heart, mind, soul and strength?" Have you made a god to suit yourself? Have you used God's name in vain? Have you kept the Sabbath holy? Have you always honored your parents? Have you hated anyone, and therefore committed murder in your heart? Have you looked with lust and therefore committed adultery in your heart? Have you lied (including "fibs"), stolen (the value is irrelevant), or coveted other people's possessions? If you are honest, you know you will be guilty on the Day of Judgment. God, however, doesn't want to send you to Hell. Jesus Christ suffered and died on the Cross in your place, so you could go free. That's how much God loves you. We broke God's Law, but Jesus paid our fine. Then He rose from the grave and defeated death. If you repent and trust in Him, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. Obey the gospel today. Read your Bible daily and obey what you read, God will never let you down.
Thank you

Wow...looks like you just got spam-witnessed. If that guy/girl/computer would have actually read your blog they'd see that you're pretty familiar with this "kingdom" stuff. I wonder how many converts they get that way?

Big Doofus raises an interesting concept: computer generated spam witnessing. There's a future blog subject. Hey, the best cure for an Arizona dry-heat (when you're sweating your @ss off is it really a "dry" heat?) is an Arizona hotel swimming pool. Less calories, more comfort. Stay safe.

Every time my family traveled through Arizona on family vacations it was approximately 115 degrees. There is no way to stay comfortable unless you are literally inside 100% of the time. The instant you step outside you are drenched in sweat.

I feel for my Mom, she gave birth to me in Arizona in July. Nine months pregnant in an Arizona summer? Ugh!

I also like the fact that "further the kingdom" is using the dictionary as a witnessing tool. How creative! Maybe he/she/it should take it a step further and add some references from the L.L. Bean catalog.

It's ok to tease him/her/it since they will never come back to the site.

I'm sure God could use spam if He wanted to--He IS God.
